  Max's Grand Adventure: Heading Home

Homecoming

At the end of May, or beginning of June, Max finally reaches the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Home! The snow has melted from the tundra and the sedges will soon be alive with insects.

Since he left 18 months ago, he's logged more than 20,000 miles on his round trip. His journey has taken him over mountains and prairies and oceans. He's crossed two continents and two hemispheres. Despite all thedistance he's travelled, Max may well return to the very spot where he was hatched!
